Outline of session – innovative, contemporary, best practice, aligned to section theme as people are at the heart of everything.

· Articulate the benefits of an integrated workplace wellbeing program. If staff have a greater sense of Wellbeing, they are more likely to have a healthier balance between their personal lives and work, meaning everybody benefits – the individual, the teams we work in, and the organisation as a whole.

· Brief introduction of TAFE NSW’s wellbeing model and action plan to build a healthy, engaged, energised and sustainable workforce

· Reference to our three strategic priority areas of enabling self-care, growing leadership capability, and ensuring a supportive environment

· Main focus of the presentation is to showcase the outcomes from the 2023, 2-day RUOK Wellbeing Event:

       o Delivered 59 wellbeing sessions aligned to TAFE NSW’s 4 wellbeing pillars (mind, body, social & spirit)

       o Innovative and contemporary wellbeing sessions to engage and educate staff, as our people and their wellbeing are cornerstones in TAFE NSW being the leading provider of lifelong learning in communities across NSW

      o Demonstrate the link between engagement and performance and organisational culture.

 

Presenter – is the Director of Safety, Wellbeing and Inclusion, who has an organisational ownership of the agenda, as well as setting the strategic approach so wellbeing can thrive in TAFE NSW.

 

Learning outcomes – strategic imperative for prioritising wellbeing in the workplace. Appreciation for a Wellbeing approach, structured action plan and leadership advocacy and involvement. Outcomes from the Wellbeing event, including engagement and impact.
