Penny Johnston
Penny Johnston is TAFE SA’s Executive Director, Academic Development. Academic Development includes Quality and Compliance; Teaching and Learning; Strategic Industry Partnerships and the Aboriginal Access Centre. From 2017 to 2021, Penny was TAFE SA’s Director, Defence Industries and Strategic Partnerships, establishing extensive links with the Naval Shipbuilding, Defence, Space and Advanced Manufacturing Industries and developing training responses to new and emerging skills needs.
Penny has professional experience in Corporate Taxation, Legal Publishing, Local Government, and Employment Services, as well as 15 years’ experience in Vocational Education, as both an Educator and an Executive. Penny has formal qualifications in Law, Commerce, Legal Practice, Arts and Training and Assessment.
