Julie Healy
Julie Healy brings over 26 years of experience in vocational education and training to her role at TAFE Queensland. As the Acting Chief Academic Officer, she plays a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s educational landscape. Before assuming her current role as Acting Chief Academic Officer, Julie has served as the Executive Director of Vocational Education and RTO Manager at TAFE Queensland for six years and Director of Learning and Teaching (3 years).
Throughout her career, Julie has held various educational leadership positions, driving academic and product strategies, and providing strategic advice to internal and external stakeholders in matters relating to quality and compliance; learning and teaching excellence; student engagement and retention, educator capability and workforce development. Julie is deeply committed to driving quality improvements and actively leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of VET training products for TAFE Queensland.
She has successfully led numerous large-scale educational projects and change management initiatives, demonstrating well-refined project management skills and the ability to positively influence people to achieve successful outcomes. Additionally, Julie is actively involved in several key national groups, including:
- ASQA Stakeholder Liaison Group
- Training and Assessment Education (TAE) / Foundation Skills (FSK) Industry Reference Group and now, Technical Advisory Group
- TAFE Directors Australia (TDA) Quality, Regulatory, and Compliance (QRC) Policy Network.
